The infamous pumpkin spice latte, more commonly known as the PSL, has undergone a makeover this fall.
Starbucks removed caramel coloring from its ingredient list and replaced it with natural coloring from annatto.
Additionally, Panera has replaced some artificial ingredients with natural ones in their PSL.
In the last year, Sensient has noticed an increase in requests from beverage brands to replace caramel coloring with alternative natural browns.
